-던 — an ongoing or repeated action in the past, often unfinished

제가 마시*던 커피 어디 있어요?* — Where's the coffee I was drinking? 자주 가*던 카페* — the café I used to go to.

-았/었던 — a completed past experience you're recalling

작년에 먹*었던 음식* — the food I ate last year (and remember).

-더라고요 — reporting something you witnessed

그 영화 정말 재미있*더라고요.* — That movie was really fun (I saw it, I found). Used for first-hand discoveries, not for your own actions.
